Wrong Number, Right Lumberjack by Elsie James review

Wrong Number, Right Lumberjack by Elsie James links three different series together (Lumberjack Lagoon, Kingridge Ranch, and Wrong Number, Right Guy). Thankfully, you don't have to have read any of these books to enjoy them.

When Jace Crews attempts to call to cancel his football contract and gets Missy Tieddy, the event planner for the Southern Knights Football Family, neither one of them could have known what would happen next.

Both Jace and Missy have lives that affect others, where their lives seem not to be their own. Jace takes care of his brother in Lumberjack Lagoon. Missy, on the other hand, has her son Ethan and her life as a single mom to protect. So when she sees Ethan and Jace playing catch at one of the days of the Southern Knights Youth Football camp, Missy freaks out and almost misses her happy ever after ending that Elsie James is known for.

Wrong Number, Right Lumberjack seems to be more fast-paced than the other Elsie James books that I have read, and has plenty of spice as well. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and was not left wanting more. I highly recommend reading this book.

Thank you Instalove Influencers and Author Elsie James for the opportunity to read and review.

Her Outlaw Prisoner by Cassi Hart ARC Review

Her Outlaw Prisoner by Cassi Hart is a slow-burn, full-steam-ahead, should-never-happen and a forbidden romance that is hard to put down.

With a prisoner like Ronan Callahan, who is already five years in, you expect him to be rough, tough, and hard to crack. That changes as soon as he sees the new prison nurse, Eleanor, who prefers Ellie most of the time. They both are looking for a way to escape, Ellie looking for a new start away from her past and especially her stepbrother, Ronan, looking to escape the mundane existence of prison and what got him there in the first place.

As Ronan is the “king of Oakdale Penitentiary,” he can push his way or bribe his way to Eleanor. This gives plenty of steamy scenes of forbidden romance that leave you unable to put the book down.

And when Eleanor’s stepbrother does find her, you learn just how far Ronan will go. Their love is strong through it all and makes them stronger.

As always with Instalove Influencers book options, a happy ending is guaranteed, and it ended differently than I expected. I can't wait to read the second book in this series. I did not think I would enjoy Her Outlaw Prisoner as much as I did.

Saddle Me Cowboy's Forced Proximity ARC Review

Elsie James has done it again with Saddle Me Cowboy's Forced Proximity.

There is only one Kingridge brother left, and that is Holden. He can be quiet and serious while attempting to guard his heart.

That guarding of his heart may be hard to do at the first sight of Zara Platt, sister to his sister-in-law Priya.

Zara is an influencer who appears at first to be used to the life of luxury. What Holden doesn't realize, however, is that there is much more to Zara than what he first believes. She has come to help Priya despite being exhausted and burnt out trying to keep up this perfect image.

Don't worry, as every Elsie James book promises, there is a happy ending. The main characters feel truly seen for the first time. There may also be a few fireworks.

I'm looking forward to the next book in this series. I still wish there were more to these stories, but these are great for a quick, short read. Sometimes that's all I feel like I have time for these days.
