Brennon may have just become one of my favorite characters. Once a CEO, he turned into a mountain man and secluded himself minus a few friends after having a stroke because of a heart issue. His few friends have similar issues and struggles. Because of Brennon's stroke, his speech has changed and is sometimes a struggle. This doesn't always stop him; it just makes anything he says more important and worth the potential wait.
When Brennon decides to attend his brother's wedding, it changes everything. For starters, his brother is a tool, and Brennon makes his brother's soon to be wife his own. Cadence has her own issues as well. This was supposed to be a business proposition marriage, not a happy ever after. Both Brennon and Cadence need each other, truths to come out, and a happy ever after.
I can't wait to read more Mia Brody books. If she can get me hooked into this story, I can only imagine how well the others are written. I am a sucker for a mountain man and a happy ever after. I can't recommend Married to the Mountain Man enough.
