Wrangling Wade by Nichole Rose kept me in a reading mood. These characters weren't exactly what I expected, but what I needed to keep me from getting into a reading funk.
This time, we meet Wade and Harlow. Harlow is currently tending bar despite her artistic background. Life has dealt her a rough time, and she is finally getting back to herself and her roots. Wade is a cowboy who owes a favor to a friend who asks him to keep an eye on Harlow. Once expectations get out of the way, what starts as protection turns into a romance.
Wade does get into a few fights and protects Harlow as much as he can. He doesn't worry so much about potential consequences.
In the end, Wrangling Wade can get a happy ever after.
